Franz Ackermann

Neumarkt-Sankt Veit, Alemanha, 1963

Centering on themes such as travel, globalization and urbanism, Ackermann’s paintings and installations are characterized by use of a fluorescent pallet. By mixing street maps, landscapes and façades he creates non-places and constantly touches on the good and bad experiences of tourism. In 2011, the artist moved to Brazil to organize the exhibition “Olhar externo” (External Perspective) about his experience in São Paulo city.
